Rare early Staffordshire plate with the impressed makers mark for HAMILTON / STOKE. Circa 1815.

Transfer printed in a deep blue with the pattern known as Fisherman with Nets. There is a man in a boat as well as two others handling a net in a tree, an English style Pagodas Temple in the back ground the other side of the large lake.

The factory of Robert Hamilton of Stoke flourished from about 1811 -26.
