WEDWOOD & Co was the pottery of Ralph Wedgwood the eldest son of Thomas Wedgwood (cousin & partner of Josiah) and had works at the Hill Works Pottery Burslem and later at Ferrybridge pottery until 1801.
A desert BOWL in the Shell pattern, the conchological interest of shells and seaweeds was popular part of the late 18th Century Rocco style were shells were used in the decorative neoclassical style.
