  EMMA WOOD, 1834 £SOLD  
A small neat pre Victorian school work sampler. Traditionally worked in bands in very fine silk with the alphabet in two styles of upper case and one lower case followed by numbers 1 to 16. Between each set a different stitch type or border pattern. Across the bottom the sewers name EMMA WOOD and the date 1834,unusually between the name .

Framed in a period oak frame measuring 8 3/4 x 9 1/2 inches 22 x24 cm.

Condition good. Great colour , very light fold mark with some discoloration. a few tiny pin holes.
