ANTIQUE DELFT CHARGER

£SOLD

  ANTIQUE DELFT CHARGER £SOLD
An interesting delft charger decorated in manganese and green . The front glazed in a tin glaze the back lead glazed as one would expect on very Early Delft plates of both England and the low countries and the shape again is typical of dishes of circa 1700. But I have found no comparable example with these colours or pattern.

Diameter 11 1/2 inches 29.5 cm..

Condition two small rim chips there is also a hairline crack at 9 o'clock that travels towards the centre. Some minor ware to glaze -scratches etc. from use and consistent with age.
