An early 19th Century naïve chimney piece ornament, very much in the style of early Staffordshire figures , except flat and hand made. Hand painted on thin card and glued to more layers of thin card to make thicker, possibly had a stand. The image of the person in this case a woman dressed in Medieval costume, cut out leaving him standing under a brick arch.

Height 21.5 cm 8 1/2 inches width 6 inches 15.3 cm

Condition. card overall browning / oxidation some losses around edge the central figure appears to have had her sleeve broken off and reattached
