  ELEANOR LOBB, Boulogne France 1819 £SOLD  
A very rare and interesting sampler worked by an English girl in School in France.
It would appear that Eleanor was born 12.3.1812 St,Marys Islington and died in 1927. Interestingly her father Elis Shiply Lobb ( b.1774) had his silk handkerchief stolen by one John Ruff & John Scruton (5.4.1792) both men were found guilty at the old bailey (302) and were transported for 7 years.28 cm square framed in a black readied frame.
Some stitch loss and holes.
