Vintage Pitcairn Island Souvenir carved wood female hand holding a trumpet shaped vase. Very nice grain to the wood. In good condition with no cracks or splits. Minor bumping / chips on the rim. Wonderful deep colour.
Measures approx 22.5 cm high. The four Pitcairn Islands are mostly inhabited by the descendants of nine Bounty mutineers and the Tahitians who accompanied them. The Islands have only about fifty permanent inhabitants.
This vase was collected by Edgar Robert Wyndham in the 1930's . He was born in 1899 in Melbourne Australia.
