£SOLD

SPLATTER WARE ! CASHE POT & STAND, DON POTTERY £SOLD
As a Geologist in a former life I have always been interested in the potters interpretation of Marble, and stone, popular in the 18th century by the makers of Wedgwood & Bentley or Parmer.
This delightful small flower pot or Cache Pot and stand dating from the early 19th century follows that tradition although the decoration is more Jackson Pollock.

att. DON POTTERY, YORKSHIRE, circa 1810-20.
Diameter of rim 10 cm.
Condition very good tiny chip to underside of tray only.
