BRISTOL WEDDING BARREL E.White 1885.

£SOLD

  BRISTOL WEDDING BARREL E.White 1885. £SOLD
There is a firm tradition of pearlware Bristol Barrels , generally attributed to William FIFIELD (1778-1857) and his son that date from the early 19th century to about 1845, those that are inscribed with names and dates or as paired initials, relate to marriages. So it was interesting to find this later stoneware example of similar size & form but dated much later, 1885 also from Bristol, but probably impossible to confirm it was made for E.Whites Wedding!.
