An interesting jug !, attributed to the 16th / 17th century. The white clay body decorated to the rim with three large X's, and brown glaze that has been allowed to run down the interior of the pot. a simple single splash down the top of the handle unites the out side to within.
Height 18.5 cm.
Condition probably dug up, surface pitted . some large pieces glued. base probably totally made up. |
