Watch samplers , are amongst the most personal of needlework's, as in this case worked by a love one and given, to a gentleman to be placed at the back of a pocket watch, and so be near his heart.
Worked in cream & red silk on a fine silk ground we have the words "LOVE THE GIVER" below a crown and signed TT, with two precious diamonds.
4.8 cm in diameter.
