INDUSTRIAL VIEW, THOMAS STEVENSON c.1840

£SOLD

INDUSTRIAL VIEW, THOMAS STEVENSON c.1840 £SOLD
A remarkable porcelain jug , made for a "Stoker" I think, named ThomasStevenson. Although it appears with two men stoking a fire that is connected to what appears to be pair of bellows driven by a large wheel possibly worked by water. In the background what appears to be two bottle kilns. Now I have not seen this view in the potteries so possibly another industry. Your thoughts ?.
The jug possibly Alcock, circa 1840.
