Quite rare size are the small pierced desert plates, This particular one of Queens shape measures only 7 inches, with a pierced pattern around the border, one can clearly see the variation in the repeated pattern were the piercing was done by hand.
Probably either Staffordshire or Yorkshire - Leeds and dating from the late 18th Century, 1780-90.
Condition Slight discolouration from usage, a small hairline from the edge to one hole and a few flee bites to the edge.
