13th Century Green Man. Possibly one of the best objects we have brought !. I belive this to be carved by the same hand that produced the iconic Green Man pendant boss in York Minster, found in Lincoln not a million miles from York.
Medieval craftsmen moved from one job to another as the great Cathedrals and Churches were being built It is so rare to find an object that can be linked to an early Medieval Masterpiece and the hand of an unknown Master Stonemason.
