A wonderful miniature sampler by MARY (Ann) OSTLER. Melford Suffolk 1804.
Mary was born 17th March 1792 in Melford Suffolk one of 10 children of Aaron & Hannah (nee Trotman) Ostler. At the age of 25 she married Peter Richold a coachbuilder and painter working for Caige & Sons of Long Melford. They had 7 children, Ann living a long life passing away aged 83 on 14 July 1876.
Two of there sons followed there farther becoming coach builders.
Only 18 x 19.5 including carved frame.
